China International Tourism Commodities Fair
Smart Travel with Stylish Gadgets, the 9th China International Tourism Commodities Fair and the 3rd Toilet Revolution Technology and Equipment Exhibition Rounded Off Successfully

Sponsored by China National Tourism Administration and People's Government of Zhejiang Province, and jointly organized by China Tourism Association, Zhejiang Tourism Bureau, Yiwu People’s Government and Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai Ltd., the 9th China International Tourism Commodities Fair and the 3rd Toilet Revolution Technology and Equipment Exhibition came to a successful close in Yiwu International Expo Center on May 29, 2017. With the theme of “Smart Travel with Stylish Gadgets”, this year’s fair has made steady growth in aspects of international level, exhibitor participation and product quality, building the leading trade fair for the tourism commodities and consumptions in Asia. During the four-day fair, 2,017 international shell schemes were set and 1,380 leading enterprises from 31 countries and regions as well as 29 national provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps made their presence within a display area of 50,000 sqm. Professional buyers from 79 countries and regions visited, the total visits exceeded 100,000 and closed deals totaled RMB 3.653 billion Yuan.

Worth to mention that the 3rd Toilet Revolution Technology and Equipment Exhibition was held with great triumph on the first day of the fair, summarizing the achievements of the first “Three-year Action Plan” for Toilet Revolution and promoting the development of Toilet Revolution in an orderly manner and greater scale. A strong lineup of industrial leading enterprises showed up at the Toilet Revolution achievement display section and technical equipment display section, bringing cutting-edge tourism toilet equipment and technologies, so as to create a perfect platform for display, communicate and purchase.

Mr. Li Jinzao, Director of China National Tourism Administration paid a visit to the exhibition and expressed his satisfaction. After that, Director Li also made his presence at the 4th Conference on Promoting the National Toilet Revolution, delivering a keynote speech to leaders, experts, scholars and citizens from various provinces and cities, tourism administrations and relevant departments. By summarizing the results achieved by Toilet Revolution in the past three years, the conference also made an outline for the development of the next three-year Toilet Revolution.

Five halls were especially rolled out for this year’s fair, that is, Hall A1 for environmentally-friendly tourist toilets; Hall B1 for provinces and cities to showcase their tourism resources; Hall C1 for thematic showcasing; Hall D1 for characteristic products of tourist destinations, Hall E1 for log cabin, caravan, camping equipment and experience. Exhibitors from 31 countries and regions including Afghanistan, Argentina, Australia, Cameroon, Comoros, Chile, Czech Republic, Ethiopia, France, Guinea-Bissau, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mali, Mauritania, North Korea, Pakistan, Senegal, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sudan, Switzerland, Tanzania, Thailand, Uganda, Vietnam and China Hong Kong altogether made a dazzling debut.

Along with the rapid development of tourist online services, online booking, online payment and online marketing, “Intelligent Tourism” has become the big trend of China’s tourism industry, accelerating the “Internet Plus” and advancing “Future Tourism”. This year’s fair also further promoted the new mode of “Internet+Tourism”. Zhejiang Province, together with tourism organizations across China and e-commerce service platforms, brought a number of intelligent and convenient tourism products, showcasing brand new features in tourism experience, tourism management, tourism service and tourism marketing, so as to promote the construction and development of domestic intelligent tourism and enable tourists to travel in relaxed and smart manners.

During the fair, a series of splendid events was held concurrently. Mainstream and industrial media from home and abroad also made comprehensive, deep and timely news coverage for the fair. In the meantime, the organizers released real-time news on the official website and WeChat platforms of CTICF and Hannover Milano Fairs, facilitating exchanges and interactions among organizers, exhibitors, visitors and media.

The next edition will be held on May, 2018.
